Happy 4th of July!
That's it! I put a real flag with the pieces to give Henry an example!
More on how Hen liked the project in our weekly tot school update! Can you believe that one year ago Henry looked like this:
This week in tot school, we are focusing on the colors red, white, and blue to celebrate the holiday. One of the activities we are working on is a do-it-yourself flag. Its the perfect project for any toddler today!
Its super simple. All you need is some red, white, and blue paper {or felt} and some wooden stars.
To make:
Cut 3 long red strips of paper and 4 short red strips. Cut a blue rectangle. Laminate the red, blue, and white paper (whole sheet). You could also use felt and skip the laminating. Cut the laminated pieces out.
Paint wooden stars white -- I used acrylic paint. Again, you could use paper or felt. I choose wood just to give a little dimension to the stars and, since they are small, the wood is easier for Henry to pick up.
