This week I have a couple color sorters Henry is working with in Tot School so I thought I would share!
Sticker Sorter: I came up with this idea after buying a super cheap jumbo pack of smiley face stickers. Henry loves these stickers, so I try and use them as much as I can.
So I made a sheet with a colored box for each color sticker. Then, I printed it on heavy-duty matte photo paper (so it would be more difficult to destroy).
The goal is for Hen to place the colored sticker in the corresponding box. So far Henry has loved this sorter, and we've spent a lot of time using it.
If anyone wants this printout - leave a comment and I'll send it to you.
Pipe Cleaner Sorter: Thanks to Pinterest for this idea!
To make this, I used the smiley stickers again.
Place one sticker of each color on a Pringles can lid. Then use a hole punch to punch out the center of each sticker. (Well, except for the middle, which, sadly, none of my three punches reach - if someone has an idea on how to punch it - please let me know!)
Then, I use simple construction paper, and some more stickers, to decorate the outside. Add some corresponding colored pipe cleaners, and you're ready to sort.
Henry has mixed feelings about this sorter, but more on that in this week's regular tot school post.
