This past week in tot school we have been doing a rainbow theme. We have come to the end of our colors themes, so I figured rainbow was a good review and wrap up. We didn't get to all the activities I had planned last week, so I extended rainbow for another week.
Here are a couple of color sorters we have been using:
Toilet Paper Roll Sorter:
Paint some Popsicle sticks. {I also painted that little container}
Paint a corresponding toilet paper roll.
Toddlers can then sort the sticks into the rolls.
Felt Rainbow:
I made this rainbow sheet with all the colors named. {Update} FIND THE FREE PRINTABLE HERE! Print two copies.
Cut each color strip out from one of the print outs. Use it as a template to cut the corresponding color of felt.
Laminate the other print-out {just for protection}.
Then, toddlers can place felt over laminated template to make rainbow. Its great fine motor skill work and color sorting!
Check out other toddler rainbow activities in the full tot school post.
