Now that our move and subsequent projects are wrapping up, I've finally got around to choosing and starting to set up our new tot school classroom. It's not complete yet, so I'll do a full reveal when its complete. But, I did want to share a few concerns and see if anyone had suggestions.
What if Henry doesn't want to concentrate on tot school because all of his toys/TV/fun stuff are within reach? How am I going to keep the two groups of toys separate? Since some of his tot school toys require close supervision, how am I ever going to be able to leave him in the family room to get stuff done around the rest of the house?
So, anyone else have a similar issue? Those of you without a totally dedicated space, how do you keep everyone safe and engaged? Are there benefits I'm just not seeing?
We are looking into the possibility of putting closet doors on the opening. I'm not sure if its possible yet, with the size of the opening, or the concrete floors under the carpets. And the playroom has a door we are going to put on after it gets fixed. But does anyone else have an idea of how I can separate the two spaces?
