This was one of the only weeks where Henry was almost completely uninterested in any of the "extra" tot school activities that I set out. In the two weeks that these were out Henry only played with one of them. I guess he was so focused on the letter O tot school trays that he just ignored this work.
It's always hard when you want them to check out everything you've made for the week and they don't. I try really hard not to force it on him or to take it personally, but that is hard. Thankfully, I have you guys to share my ideas wit, hehe.
Without further ado, here were the seemingly uninteresting {to Henry} letter O activities --
Wooden Owl Painting: I really thought Henry would enjoy this. But, he is never really into creating art {which is why we do so little of it} and I should have known better.
Letter O Sensory Bin: To be fair to Henry, he did have his open ended sensory bin this whole time, so maybe two sensory bins was just too much. He played with this once in two weeks. He enjoyed matching some of the wooden memory pieces.
Pastels and an Owl print: This owl print was something I owned from a large coloring book. I paired it with pastels. This was the only activity Henry did over and over. He had never used pastels before and really enjoyed them. He always returned the work to its spot so the next he would pull the picture out and continue.
Letter O Dry Erase: He did this once in the two weeks too. Usually his dry erase sheets are a big favorite, I think it may just be time to take a break from them.
Letter O Magnet Board: This was completely ignored.
