Easter Basket Ideas 2020

With the social distancing, quarantine, and closures happening right now our life is pretty disrupted. At this point we are no longer able to attend religious services and our plans for Easter are very much up in the air. With all these changes, I do want to keep our celebration of Easter at home with the children as familiar to them as possible. So, I've been gathering some things for their Easter baskets and thought I would share.

Here are some Montessori ideas and activities for Easter baskets. This post contains ideas for babies, toddlers, and bigger kids.

This year I tried to go with mostly indoor activities since we are stuck inside or in our yard for the foreseeable future. I will likely add some outdoor chalk and bubbles plus a couple small treats to each basket - depending on if and what I can find in our local stores. Here's a look at each child's basket.

Henry - 9-years-old

Binoculars - Our old binoculars were lost last summer in a hiking trip and Henry has been talking about getting new ones since. Yellow, because it's his forever favorite.

Comic Book Paper - Henry is super into drawing comics right now and I thought this looks like a fun way to expand that interest a bit further.
Erasable Color Pencils - With his comic drawing he needs something a bit more precise but also erasable. These looked like the perfect option to go with the paper!

Nora - 5-years-old

Mini Rainbow - This felt like a fun option for my rainbow baby! She loves the mini-wave set we have so this will expand that play.

Erasable Markers - These just looked cool!
Nature's Day Out and About - I actually found this in the Target dollar spot, and it just has a bunch of fun activities to try out in nature.

Augustus - 3-years-old

Truck Sticker Book - Gus loves trucks and "workers" so these will be a big hit.

Stencils - Gus is starting to become more intentional with his drawing and I think he will really like these.
Do-a-Dot Markers - We used to have a set but they ran out of ink so I know he will love a return to using these.

Theodore - 7-months-old

Tales from Nature: Rabbit - Just a cute book I found in the dollar spot!

Animal Babies - Again, just a cute dollar spot book
Rubber Teether - You can't have enough teethers for a baby that is still toothless!

And, that's it! I hope you find some inspiration here. If you need more ideas for Easter Baskets, check out my post Easter Baskets for Montessori Babies, Toddlers and Preschoolers Updated 2018 or  Our Easter Baskets 2018

I grabbed the Natures Day Out & About book for my 5 year old too for a Easter from the Dollar Spot! It was the last one, shoved way in the back of one of the bins! I was super excited about my “find”! I can’t wait for warmer/nicer days and to try out some of the fun activities!!
