Here in Minnesota Covid-19 related restrictions are starting to ease up a bit. But, we aren't at the point of really going especially with the children. This past week we hit officially three months of being at home every single day. It's been challenging to be home so frequently and to have to skip so many of our favorite activities - I don't think I've missed the library so much ever before!
After three months at home, I thought I would share 5 of the children's things that have helped get us through these long months at home and that I anticipate will help keep us going over the summer months.

Pikler Triangle
Our Pikler Triangle from Sprout Kids has been so great for helping my kids get their energy out over the past few months. It's big enough that even Henry (9) and Nora (5) have used it a bunch. Gus has been most into it using the indoor slide and jumping right off of it. It's been the perfect way to get wiggles out especially on bad weather days early in the spring. Now that Teddy is starting to pull up on things, he's even been getting into the action!
Mirror Balls
While I bought these mirror balls for Teddy, they have actually been a huge hit for all of the kids. They have been used by the big kids for so much imaginative play. And, I've been pleasantly surprised by how engaging they have been for Teddy too. Now that he is crawling more he is chasing after them all over the place. Or, he just likes staring into them and giving kisses to the baby.
Art Supplies
Woah, have we had a lot of busy crafters lately! When all else fails rotating some of our art supplies has been a great way to engage the kids. And, it's one of those things that the three bigger kids can do really easily together. Some of their favorite materials have been:
Play Silks
I love play silks no matter how often we are stuck at home. But over the last few months, these have seen so much play! From dress up to fort building to accessories on their farm and peekaboo, play silks have been used by every single one of my kids on a daily basis.
Splash Pad
This has been a newer addition but it's getting so much use that I had to include it. This simple splash pad is really helping the kids not feel awful about not being able to go swimming this summer. It's just a step up from a sprinkler. The big kids love running and jumping into it where Teddy and Gus love just sitting in the shallow water with the sprayers off.
I know that it will be a very different summer for our family, but we will find ways to have fun and stay entertained here at home!
